Hailed by the Dallas Morning News as the Number One Production of 2009, Port Twilight returns for a limited run at Undermain Theatre. Celebrated in American Theatre Magazine, Backstage Magazine and throughout Dallas, there are only three weeks to see what the critics call "genius."
Written by three-time Obie Award winning and Emmy nominated playwright Len Jenkin, Port Twilight features a set design by Tony Award winning designer, John Arnone, costumes by Giva Taylor, lighting design by Steve Woods, music by Bruce DuBose and video design by Jeffery Franks. With Josh Blann, Jonathan Brooks, Jessica Cavanagh, Ariana Cook, Bruce DuBose, Shannon Kearns-Simmons, Anastasia Munoz, Ian Sinclair, Christian Taylor, Stefanie Tovar and Kent Williams.
In the mysterious town of Port Twilight a macabre story unfolds with serio-comic dimensions helped along with a little song and dance. The ensemble cast takes the audience on a ramble through an American landscape while portraying a multitude of revolving characters including a B-Movie producer and his sexy girlfriend; a wild, homeless Rabbi who calls for the Messiah; an eccentric musical duo; and a team of strange dancing scientists. The play's mercurial structure mimics the actions of the human genome in this fascinating and futuristic sci-fi voyage.
